Ukrspetstrans, LLC was formed and registered in the state register of Ukraine on August 18, 2003. The company is the owner of Kherson Oil Terminal Complex, which includes an oil harbor and an oil depot.

KHERSON OIL TERMINAL COMPLEX

1. Oil Harbor

The oil harbor is located in the mouth of the Dnepr River on the right bank and is connected by a navigable channel 100 m wide and around 7.6 m deep with the Dnepr estuary - the entrance to the Black Sea.

The oil harbor constitutes a complex consisting of oil and oil product tanks, pump stations, purification and treatment facilities and quays. At the moment, the oil harbor has 7 operational tanks 5,000 m3 each for light oil products. Total volume of the oil product storage is currently 30,000 m3 with the potential to increase up to 65,000 m3. There is also an automatic loading rack with the capacity of loading 500 tons of oil products per working day. Two sea quays allow receiving ships with carrying capacity of up to 10,000 tons. The speed of oil products loading and unloading from ships is 450–500 m3 per hour.

The oil harbor is designed to transfer up to 1million oil products per year.

2. Oil Depot

The oil depot is located on the outskirts of Kherson city and is connected to Kherson station via railroad, and to the oil harbor by two 6-kilometer pipelines for reverse pumping over of oil products.

There are two one-sided elevated tracks for light oil products simultaneously unloading/loading. Daily capacity of the elevated track is 48 tank cars. The tank farm for light oil products is 2 tanks 3,000 m3 each, 3 tanks 2,000 m3 each, 1 tank 1,000 m3, 2 tanks 700 m3 each and 5 tanks 400 m3 each.

There is an automatic loading rack with the capacity of filling 2x500 tons of oil products per working day.

As of December 28, 2010, 2570 railroad tankers and 1938 truck tankers with oil products have been unloaded.
